Take our design expertise, add your input and together we’ll create the glass panels, sidelights, transom or cabinet glass you’ve always wanted. After consulting with you, we transform the design you’ve chosen into a full-size pattern to fit your glass opening. That way, you see the layout before we build it – life-size and in position.
Once you approve the pattern, our skilled artisans begin crafting your special piece from stained, textured, beveled and etched glass. Intricately-cut pieces of glass are painstakingly assembled with the metal came (strips that bind together the pieces of glass), then soldered together in the centuries-old tradition of crafting these functional, handmade and exquisite works of art.
Then our installation experts take over, making sure that nothing is overlooked in assuring the proper fit of your new glass treasure.
Leaded glass repair
Because life happens, sometimes it’s necessary to repair a treasured glass panel in your home. In many instances, we can determine what work is needed over the phone. If not, we’ll come over to inspect the damage and give you an estimate (free of charge).
If the damage is minor (cracked glass and no damage to the lead), we can usually perform on-site repairs. For more extensive issues involving cracked glass and/or lead damage, we need to remove the panel and bring it back to our shop. If panel removal is necessary, we board up the opening so it’s secure while your repairs are being performed.
We then disassemble your damaged piece, thoroughly clean it and replace any broken glass and/or damaged lead, zinc or brass came (the skeletal structure of the glass panel). Your panel is then re-assembled, delivered to your home and carefully put back into its rightful place.
